Since its inception four years ago, MoMA’s “Meet Me” program for dementia and Alzheimer’s patients has not only grown increasingly successful, but it has inspired museums around the U.S. to take part. The program provides an opportunity for the patients—most of whom were artists or frequenters of the museum previously—to view current exhibitions during off hours on a carefully guided tour. Just In Time For Hanukkah, “Major League Dreidel”

December 10, 2009

2009_11_dreidel.jpgThe first ever “professional” dreidel league will host its debut matches in Williamsburg on Dec. 12 — the second day of Hanukkah.  Call the Knitting Factory for specifics.  This is way too much excitement for the goodegg, but congrats to those that have taken the time to  perfect this crazy top-spinning game.

Not sure how I feel about the winner being paid in chocolate money.

Thanksgiving week in New York with family and friends is what it’s all about. We have so much to be thankful for, and so many things to look forward to in 2010. If you’re in NY, check out W. Dafoe in “Idiot Savant”, the Madeline Albright pin collection at MAD, or new restaurant, “Recipe” on 82nd and Amsterdam. Thanks to Langhorne(check out link below from recent recording for Baeble) for putting on a spectacular show not only for the Goodegg family, but for “Grandma Ruth” who had a priceless grin on her face the whole evening.
